Conor Benn signs multi-year deal with Zuffa Boxing as the British star continues to work with Dana White's new promotion

Conor Benn has signed a multi-fight, multi-year deal with Zuffa Boxing.

Benn worked with Zuffa Boxing for his most recent bout, a 10-round victory over former two-time world champion Regis Prograis at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend.

That was a third consecutive bout for "The Destroyer" at the football ground after his two epic fights with Chris Eubank Jr.

Benn reprised his family's rivalry with the Eubanks when he took on Junior twice last year. He moved up to middleweight for those fights, losing the first bout but combined with Eubank in that epic contest to deliver the British fight of the year over 12 rounds.

He got his revenge in November when he dropped Eubank Jr twice and secured a decision victory.

He moved down in weight afterwards, meeting Prograis at 150lbs as he pursues major fights now in the welterweight division.

Head of Zuffa Boxing Dana White confirmed Benn has joined on a two-and-a-half-year deal comprised of five fights.

"I like the kid personally and professionally so we are excited about it," he told Your Site.

"We did a one-fight deal and we wanted to make him feel comfortable too. His family has been in the business for a very long time so let them come in, kick the tyres over here, see how we operate, what we have to offer out here in Vegas.

"He obviously liked it, we like him, and now we are in business together for a long time."

Benn's switch, leaving Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing after almost 10 years with the company to join Dana White's new promotional powerhouse, was an industry-shaking move.

On signing the deal, Benn told Your Site: "I am very excited to have got this deal done. I said that they were in the driver's seat, the way they looked after me and the team.

"They share the same vision and they are excited for the future."

"It means more eyeballs, it means me in the prime of my career at 29 years old. It is just exciting.

"All the big names are over here in America, so for me it is coming over and giving the public the fights that they want.

"The main thing for me in my career is giving people memorable nights, nights that they remember and go 'wow that was special'. That is what I am here for."
